Design and Display
The Moto G7 Power looks plastic, unlike G7 and G7 Plus glass models.. Though it has a large battery, still the device looks thin. The back is regular polycarbonated which is glossy too and gets a dual rear camera setup above the fingerprint sensor. The device is slippery and might catch scratches too. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack present with USB-C Port for charging.
On the right, you get a volume rocker and power button while on the left there is space for the SIM tray. On the notch, you get a front shooter and loudspeaker.
Coming to the display, Moto G7 Power packs a 6.2-inches LTPS IPS LCD HD+ touchscreen display with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1570. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and has a Moto Display feature which brings notification at a glance.
Overall, you get a plastic designed body which is something you won’t like as it is slippery and catch scratches very easily. The device gets a moderate display which plays videos really good.
Under the hood, Moto G7 Power packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card. The device runs smoothly without lag or any hiccups and loads apps really fast. Moto G7 gets the same processor like this device. If you are looking to play heavy games like PUBG and Asphalt 9, the device won’t satisfy the purpose. Though at low graphics, Moto G7 Power works fine in PUBG.
Camera and Battery Life
Coming to the camera, the phone houses a rear single camera setup including a 12-megapixel camera sensor at the back, along with an f/2.0 lens.. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel camera sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 selfie shooter. The Moto G7 Power captures nice and impressive pics with no complaints. no matter what time of the day it is, the device captures really crispy and vibrant pictures.
Battery Life is surely the biggest USP of this device as the Moto G7 Power packs a high capacity 5,000mAh battery which can last for two days on a typical day. Motorola itself claims that the phone will give you 60 hours of juice without charging. Along with it, you get an 18W Turbocharger which charges the phone very fast.
Moto G7 Power runs Android 9 Pie out of the box with some sprinkling of little Moto interface. You also get Moto Actions as the gesture controls like a karate chop will turn on the flashlight. In the box, you will get a transparent rubber case, a USB-C cable, and a TurboPower charger. The connectivity and sensors include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. Moto G7 Power comes in two color variants: Ceramic Black and Ceramic White.
Moto G7 Power is a nice device- putting it short. The device might not play heavy games like PUBG and you might find the screen quality sharpest among others, still, the device stands for its power- as they promoted. The device doesn’t have the premium build quality either as they use plastic body but still, it is an average phone which will give you long battery life. So, if you want the huge battery life and average features with it, Moto G7 Power is the device for you.
